On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 10:30 am, in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel-President of the University of Zakho, Assistant Professor Dr. Diyar A. Saed-Vice President of the University for Administration and Financial Affairs, Dr. Mahir Kh. Ali-Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Dr. Hogir T. Tawfiq-Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, lecturers, students of the university, and book writers, Xetir team of the University of Zakho, under the supervision of Mr. Omar M. Mustafa-Director of Electronic Library at the University of Zakho, celebrated World Book Day by organizing various activities.
In the beginning, a speech was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel in which he praised the role of students. Then Assistant Professor Dr. Diyar A. Saed delivered a speech on the importance of World Book Day and shed light on the process of reading books, and the role of books in building the individuals personality. After that, a speech was delivered by Mr. Omar Mohammed in which he talked about the foundation of Xetir Group and the stages of working on the activities of the group.
Furthermore, a book exhibition was held at the Faculty of Science under the supervision of Dr. Mahir Kh. Ali.
